Description
About the Author, George Johnson
Born and raised in Arizona, he grew up surrounded by the quiet majesty of the desert. Among all its wonders, one presence stood above the rest—the magnificent Saguaro cactus. Found only in the distinct elevations of Southwest Arizona, Mexico, and parts of California, these towering desert sentinels became more than landscape; they became companions.
Over the years, while traveling through Saguaro country, George began to imagine them speaking—through their curved arms, their posture, their silent expressions. Some seemed funny, some reflective, others quietly expressing the ordinary rhythms of life we all recognize. What began as passing thoughts became lasting images.
