Synopsis:
Blindsight is set in the world of Zur, which despite its differences, is not unlike our own. One nation, Solvaire–once founded as a beacon for their God, the Builder–has begun to descend into the same corruption as the monstrous race before them. Ravenwood Manor, a longtime bastion for the traditional Keystones, is no exception. An unseen evil has seeped inside. Caleb, a young boy with a great destiny, arrives. Full of potential and ambition, he begins training to succeed his grandfather as the next Keeper. From the start, he is excited and eager to explore the ancient manor–still run as it was a thousand years ago. It is a place full of wonder but also danger. Prompted by a strange, beautiful girl–he sneaks into a forbidden tower. What he discovers there will fascinate and enthrall him. But the secrets held at its pinnacle could become his undoing and alter his promising destiny forever. Dark forces are closing in on him. The only one who notices the threat is his grandfather’s assistant–an enigmatic old man who speaks in riddles. Who can he trust? Will the discovery of life-like statues on the grounds unlock the tower’s secrets? Or will he be forced to confront the ancient evil face-to-face? When everything seems hidden, even his own eyes deceive him. Will he overcome an invisible enemy? Or succumb to Blindsight?

About the Author: Johah T. Simons

Jonah grew up in a Christian home and confessed Christ at an early age. He was involved in his local church and, on the outside, looked like the model Christian. But inside, he harbored a dark secret that would haunt him throughout his life. On the verge of his teen years, he became embroiled in various addictions. Again and again he tried to deal with these struggles. At one time he even confessed them before his entire church family, but he never found freedom. Instead, he created two lives — a secret inner life and the one he showed the world. As he grew up, got married and became a father, he gradually fell deeper into sin — to such depths of that he ended up losing his family, career and freedom. Then he realized he was one of those who “though seeing could not see.” And so he wrote this book as a warning to others.

Enter Ravenwood Manor. It’s a place steeped in thousand-year-old tradition. Young Caleb comes for training in the ancient precepts of the Keystones but seeks adventure. However, not everything here is as it seems. A mysterious disappearance and an even more mysterious—and beautiful—young girl pull his attention toward Ravenwood’s darker side. Join Caleb as he unravels the manor’s secrets and discovers he can’t even trust his own eyes. Will he overcome an unseen enemy or succumb to Blind sight?
